Teachmint, an education infrastructure provider and India’s largest online learning platform, announced a partnership with Kuala Lumpur-based Adtech startup Pandai to provide classroom solutions to more than 5 million students in Malaysia through Teachmint’s live class technology.
As part of Teachmint’s Video-A-A-Service (VaaS) offer, the partnership comes to enable Adtech organizations around the world with their proprietary, state-of-the-art plug-and-play live class solutions.
With the latest developments, Teachmint has solidified its expansion in Asia. Recently, the startup has partnered with Dhaka-based Adtech Startup Shikho to run live classes for millions of students in Bangladesh.
Teachmint is a video-first learning platform that provides a teacher management software platform. It also offers features like virtual classrooms with assignments and notes sharing, administration management, student information management and progress tracking.
Launched in June 2020 by IIT-Bombay and IIT-Delhi alumni Mihir Gupta, Payoj Jain, Divyansh Bordia and Anshuman Kumar, the Bengaluru-based Teachmint claims to have helped more than 1.5 million teachers in India digitize their classrooms. Their proprietary video technology, which is built entirely in-house, is highly optimized for low bandwidth usage and is clearly customized for teachers with features like live class, recording and stored lectures, automatic attendance, voting, etc.
Announcing the partnership, Mihir Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Teachmint, said,
“With our state-of-the-art classroom technology, we want to empower the global adtech economy by partnering with unique, scalable problem-solving startups in their respective geographic areas. We are happy to be partnering. ”
Gupta further said, “Today, Teachmint is the only player that caters to end-to-end infrastructure needs – from independent teachers to even Adtech players. We have created a new category in Adtech that focuses on the basics of online teaching. The LIVE Class platform is working at an unprecedented level with over 10 million users embracing our platform in just 15 months since its inception. With our international partnership, we want to revolutionize digital learning around the world and help educators and learners truly benefit. “
Teachmint is building the infrastructure for education globally and their smell offer is enabling Adtech institutions in particular to give their students a unique online learning experience. The offer significantly reduces market time by offering ready-to-launch classroom solutions for Adtech players.
Founded in 2020, Pandai focuses on K-12 education and assessment to help school children perform well in school. Through its platform, students learn to use gamified quizzes aligned with the curriculum and obtain personalized analysis using artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms that allow them to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
Supported by Y Combinator, Pandai currently has more than 300,000 registered users in the Malaysian market alone. Dedicated tasks for parents and teachers are also grouped together to monitor and support student progress.
Khairul Anwar Mohammad Zaki, co-founder and CEO of Pandai, said,
“By integrating the TeachMint platform into the Pandai ecosystem, we are creating a more comprehensive offer for our growing customer base. It’s a step towards our ultimate goal of creating an education super app and making a significant difference in students’ learning outcomes. “
