Practical Google Sheets keyboard shortcuts for teachers and students

After covering Google Docs shortcuts and Chrome shortcuts, today’s post contains a collection of practical keyboard shortcuts for Google Sheets. I compiled this from a shortcut Sheets help And I just chose to relate to the general actions on the Sheets. The goal is to help teachers and students make the best use of Google Sheets in education. I invite them to check it out and use the infographic in class with your students.

1- Normal action

Select column: Ctrl + Space

Select row: Shift + space

Just paste the values: ⌘ + Shift + v

Insert new sheet: Shift + Fn + F11

Find and Replace: + Shift + h

2- Appearance of cells

Insert link: ⌘ + k

Enter time: + Shift +;

Enter date: ⌘ +;

Enter date and time: पर्याय + options + shift +;

Format as decimal: Ctrl + Shift + 1

Format by time: Ctrl + Shift + 2

Format as date: Ctrl + Shift + 3

Format as currency: Ctrl + Shift + 4

Format as percentage: Ctrl + Shift + 5

Format as exponent: Ctrl + Shift + 6

Clear formatting: ⌘ +

3- Navigate the spreadsheet

Move to beginning of row: Fn + left arrow

Move to the beginning of the sheet: ⌘ + Fn + left arrow

Move to end of row: Fn + right arrow

Move to end of sheet: ⌘ + Fn + right arrow

Scroll to the active cell: ⌘ + backspace

Go to the next sheet: Options + down arrow

Go to the previous sheet: Option + Arrow on

Review history: ⌘ + options + shift + h

4- Add or replace rows and columns

Insert row above: ⌘ + option + = (with selected rows); Ctrl + Option + i, then r

Insert the following lines: Ctrl + Option + i, then b

Insert column on left: पर्याय + option + = (with selected columns); Ctrl + Option + i, then c

Insert column on right: Ctrl + Option + i, then o

Delete row: ⌘ + option + – (with selected rows); Ctrl + Option + e, then d

Delete columns: पर्याय + option + – (with selected columns); Ctrl + Option + e, then e

Hide rows: पर्याय + options + 9

Hide lines: ⌘ + Shift + 9

Hide column: पर्याय + option + 0

Show columns: ⌘ + Shift + 0

Group row or column: Option + Shift + Right Arrow

Group rows or columns: Options + Shift + Left Arrow

Expand grouped rows or columns: Options + Shift + Down Arrow

Collapse grouped rows or columns: Option + Shift + Arrow on

5- Use formulas

Show all formulas: Ctrl +

Enter the array formula: ⌘ + Shift + Enter

Collapse the extended array formula: ⌘ + e

Absolute / relative reference (when entering formula): Fn + F4

Toggle formula results preview (when entering formula): Fn + F9

Resize the formula bar (move up or down): Ctrl + Option + Up and Ctrl + Option + Down

6- Help for screen readers

Turn on screen reader support: पर्याय + options + z

Enable Braille support: ⌘ + options + h

Read column: ⌘ + options + shift + c

Read the row: ⌘ + options + shift + r.
