Overseas guidance platform Foreign Admits raises $ 457k in seed funds

For Bengaluru-based career counseling and students and working professionals studying abroad, ForeignAdmits has raised $ 457,000 (INR 3.5 crore) in a seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures.

The tour was attended by well-known angels from Singapore including RiDiK Technology, Manoranjan Mohapatra, Kumar Siddharth (CEO, GreatTrix), Chandrasekhar Sharma (HoD, Physics, Trusted Institutions, Kota), Sudhanshu Mishra, Sagar Gandhi and Mayank Sharma. (India Head of Prodigy Finance).

The new funds will be used for product development and team expansion.

ForeignAdmits is an AI-based online platform that provides access guidance services to students. It enables students to connect with graduate and alumni for guidance. It also offers other services like purpose writing services, forex services like money transfer and fee payment and much more.

Some well-known alumni networks such as Cormbia, Duke, CMU, Monash, University of Toronto and ASU that work with Foreign Admits.

Founded in 2020 by IIT alumni Nikhil Jain and Ashwini Jain, ForeignAdmits has a vast network of successful mentors to guide students to make the right decisions and choices for their study and career abroad. They help and assist students in their own experiences and journeys. The company is currently based in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

Speaking about the company, Nikhil Jain, co-founder and CEO of ForeignAdmit, said,

This ensures that students not only land with multiple admissions but also enter the college of their dreams with a good awareness of the chosen career paths.

“Higher education in India is now more focused and producing disciplinary experts and has grown remarkably. The overall enrollment rate in higher education is improving significantly every year. This is the first time we’ve seen the impact. “

The startup claims to have nearly one million monthly active users and 1.5 million user traffic per month, registering a 650 percent organic increase in user base and traffic in 2021.

Over the next 12 months, ForeignAdmits aims to guide more than 25,000 students in their overseas education cycle through technology-enabled counseling processes. The company plans to empower more than 500 counselors to help guide students properly through their counseling counseling.
