Infinity Learn, an Adtech startup run by Shree Chaitanya Educational Institutions, has acquired the Hyderabad-based teacher-centered community platform Teacher for an undisclosed amount.
The company said the partnership between the two platforms in education will provide improved learning solutions and offers, as well as accelerate Infinity Learn’s expansion plan.
Founded in 2019, Teachers is a digital platform for the learning community where it allows them to attend professional development sessions, apply for jobs, exchange notes, and practice best-case practices that facilitate peer-to-peer learning. The company claims to have a total of 20,000 teachers, lecturers, professors and hobby teachers and has so far recruited more than 150 educational institutions from the portal.
Sushma Boppana, Founder and Director, Infinity Learn, said,
“The transaction is expected to create additional capacity to grow and empower more and more teachers. Infinity Learn is on a mission to unlock new ways of learning for all students. We welcome the teacher team across the board and look forward to more. Strong and driven growth paths.”
Varun Beluguppa, CEO and co-founder of Teacher said,
“We founded Teacherr because we believed that technology could be a powerful lever to make teaching more enjoyable and engaging – and no one embodied more than Infinity Learn.”
Educational services firm Shree Chaitanya Group entered the field of educational technology with Infinity Learn, investing $ 50 million (around Rs 370 crore) for a new venture in June this year.
Infinity Learn offers students free mock tests so that they can evaluate themselves and then work further to enhance their knowledge.
Shri Chaitanya Group of Educational Institutions is spread across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh and has 700,000 students in schools, colleges and coaching institutes.
