Gurushala conducts teacher training on hybrid education in the classroom

Gurushala, a teacher capacity building website, is an initiative of Indus Towers Limited and Vodafone Idea Foundation and is run by First Education Foundation.

The Gurushala for teachers from the Department of Education, Nagaland and Telangana concluded a one-day detailed workshop session on the transition to hybrid classrooms which was attended by teachers from different districts of Telangana and Nagaland.

The Kovid-19 epidemic has permanently changed the education system. Many schools have been in lockdown for a long time and are struggling to continue teaching and learning classes online. While most schools are opening and preparing to welcome students back to their classrooms, many parents avoid sending their children to school and prioritizing online learning. With this in mind, the Gurushala organized sessions to help teachers engage with and engage with them on how to manage hybrid classrooms during this period.

Gurushala invited Nikita Singhal, founder of A Better Life, to share her valuable insights and experiences with teachers. She explained that a hybrid classroom means bringing technology into the classroom and that schools need to take a collaborative approach, taking into account the needs of both students and teachers. Nikita Singhal also shared how the learning gap in classrooms can be bridged and how teachers can overcome the challenges in the post-Kovid classroom setup.

These sessions were designed to engage teachers and provide them with strategies to improve their teaching methods that they can adopt in their classrooms, especially now that schools have reopened. Curated in context to also give an understanding of the hybrid models in the classroom and how they will be more useful to students.
