Celebrity-powered learning and community platform Frontro raises $ 14 million in Series A funding

Frontro, a learning platform for non-academic skills, eight road initiatives and a series of funding rounds led by GSV have raised $ 14 million (about Rs 103.2 crore).

Existing investors Lightspeed and Elevation Capital, as well as Vishal Dhadlani, Raftar, Kunal Shah, Gaurav Munjal, Farid Ahsan, and many leaders from the startup and entertainment world have participated in the round.

According to a press statement, the company plans to use the funds in more than 10 categories and more than 300 courses next year.

FrontRow focuses on providing non-academic courses, including singing, composing, cricket, photography and filmmaking, from top influencers in the respective fields. The platform offers courses taught by Indian celebrities like Amit Trivedi, Neha Kakkar, DIVINE, Vishwa Kalyan Rath, Suresh Raina and more than 100 live courses taught by students who are influential and expert for their depth in their field. Current courses cost between INR 500 and INR 2000, a one-time payment system for access to lifetime recorded courses. The platform competes with other companies such as Celebrity School, Kite and Mento.

Founded in 2020 by Shubhadit Sharma, Mikhil Raj and Ishaan Preet Singh, Frontro has reached more than 50,000 paid students in more than 2,000 cities globally, with users spending millions of hours learning on the platform.

Speaking about the company, Frontro co-founder Ishaan Preet Singh said,

“Our goal is to help you learn as well as possible in categories and mediums. The next decade will see new learning patterns, first created online and better than offline! To that end, we’re building a new community model and There is fundamental evolution. “
