Early Steps Academy, the global case-based direct learning pioneer for 21st century knowledge and skills, has raised $ 1.2 million in seed funding rounds from BEENEXT, Whiteboard Capital and Taurus Ventures.
Leading angel investors and entrepreneurs like Suhail Sumeer (CEO, BharatPe), Akash Saxena (Executive VP and CTO, Disney + Hotstar), Varun Alagh (co-founder, Mamaearth) also participated in this round.
Early Steps Academy will use the funds to fund research and development of case studies, to advance technology, and to expand the team to provide the best learning experience for children around the world.
Founded in 2021 by Sneha Biswas, an alumnus of Harvard Business School and IIT Kharagpur, Early Steps Academy is a much needed learning platform for students to develop knowledge in 1000+ essential subjects like space, cryptocurrency, entrepreneurship, weather and finance. Children learn each subject using case-based learning techniques that help them think critically and communicate effectively – skills that are most in demand for the present day and age.
The Digital Learning Platform is currently operating in 7 countries, including India, the United States and the Middle East. It is the world’s first educational platform with an R&D budget to create well-researched unique case studies for children and implement a 100 year old case study method for students in the age group of 8-18 years.
Speaking about the company, Early Steps founder and CEO Sneha Biswas said,
“I believe in building systems that can influence future generations. My vision is for education – the best way to influence the future. Our goal is to revolutionize the way we learn about how and what students learn in the 21st century, through the early stages.” The 21st century world is changing faster than ever and children around the world are being taught the same subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc.) without any changes in curriculum and pedagogy. We believe in the Early Steps that Those who acquire real-world knowledge and skills early do better than those who do not learn in life. “
Early Steps Academy provides attractive content, curated by a small group of live online world classrooms, like Harvard that inspires and expands a variety of subjects, careers and leaders. The guides on the platform are also alumni from highly prestigious educational institutions such as Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and IIT.
Commenting on the investment, BEENEXT’s managing partner Hero Chaudhary said,
“Through Early Steps Academy, Sneha has created a global product from Get-Go. In the fast-growing ad-tech space, Early Steps stands with its unique offer for students. We look forward to being part of this journey with Early Steps. To impress millions of students around the world.
According to a statement, Early Steps will also introduce students to a network of skilled individuals in various industry and job roles. “Guiding children in these early stages can quickly reveal their hidden potential, giving them time to cleverly pave the way for a new world leader. Early Steps Academy is not ‘optional’, but ‘essential’ for everyone. + Students, “Sneha continued.
