Ahmedabad-based Adtech startup Orphis raised INR 2.5 crore in the first round of funding

Orphic, Ahmedabad-based Adtech startup, has raised Rs 2.5 crore (approximately $ 331K) in the first round of funding in a valuation of Rs 25 crore, the company recently announced.

According to a press statement, the round was led by NRI tech enthusiasts who currently hold leadership positions at Facebook and McKinsey. Education Company IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Ltd. also took a one per cent stake in the company.

The company said it will use the first round of funding to strengthen its marketing ventures, add innovative technology-enabled interfaces and incorporate new modules into the curriculum. We plan to expand our team by recruiting young talent at a senior level to create a flexible and reliable brand that makes education attractive and empowering.

Incorporated in 2020, Orpheus offers robust learning modules using visualization methods, direct communication, analysis and psychological analysis to achieve the desired results. It also provides dedicated career guidance to each student.

The startup aims to connect with a wider student community across the country and help them gain a competitive edge with their pocket-friendly courses. Their optimal perception for students aims to build a strong foundation for students with the help of pedagogy and Z-Axis videos that help students and their parents explain the future application of each subject included in their individual curriculum.

Speaking about the company and the latest funding, Orphic CEO Vipul Tyagi said,

“In addition to providing live online coaching for the school curriculum (online 5-10), it also helps start-up students prepare for NTSE / Olympiad and other competitive exams. It will be used to strategically strengthen the brand, introduce innovative learning modules and make learning interactive and attractive. “

According to Orpheus, pre-recorded content is not the ideal solution for young curious minds and thus provides its course through the app in the form of live online classes. Startups believe that planned teacher interventions and highly engaging lectures are the cornerstones of online learning to show the positive impact of learning.

The Ahmedabad-based startup follows a unique flipped learning approach with three specific steps: create-a pre-lecture capsule to generate interest in a subject; Procedure – continuous improvement in the exam preparation index; And excellent learning with participant-on-hand activities and active discussion

Orphic was launched as a bootstrap company on 28 September 2020 with an initial fund of Rs 2 crore raised by the founders. According to the company, the vast experience of its founders in the field of teachers has helped raise funds in less than a year of the company’s inclusion.
